Here are some helpful tips on how you can avoid breast cancer:

1. Stay active. Physical activity reduces the risk of cancer by up to 30%.

2. Avoid use of alcohol and tobacco. Studies show that such use is associated with increased risk of cancer.

3. Check yourself often. The earlier it is detected, the easier it can be treated.

4. Participate in research studies. Studies are a good way to stay educated and tested.

This is a wonderful thing to be connected with. I have a family that seems to be riddled with many forms of cancer and I love to participate with just about any fundraiser for it. I’m wondering if you will be selling the ribbon decal as well if someone isn’t going to be making another decal purchase this month?

I agree – great cause. I think you should sell them year round and give all of the profits to one of the cancer non-profits. Another thought, my family has been affected by many different forms of cancer, not just Breast Cancer, and it has always struck us that Breast Cancer gets all this attention – but what about other forms? Each form of cancer has it’s own color ribbon… so it may be nice to develop cancer ribbons of all of the official cancer colors and sell them all. You could give the profits from all of them to the American Cancer Society which supports research and support for all forms of cancer… it’s worth a few thoughts!

Finagirl, we’ve been talking about doing this for awhile! We’ve always tried to support various causes, and we’ve been in contact with different organizations to try to work together. It’s something we need to get finalized so we can distribute those designs with the proper rights. :) Thanks for the suggestions!
