DALI DECALS DOES ITS PART TO INCREASE BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

– October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM), and Dali Decals has taken notice. “The NBCAM is an organization that really hits home for me. Having lost my grandmother to breast cancer,  it’s very important to me to increase awareness,” says David Leventhal (Director, Dali Wall Decals). “The progress it’s made is great, and we encourage everyone to continue educating themselves; we recognize the impact that we can have, and we’re dedicated to doing our part.”

Since the inception of NBCAM in 1985, the organization has made promising progress, but there is more to be done. In efforts to help promote breast cancer awareness, Dali Wall Decals is including a free Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon decal with each purchase. “We encourage all of our customers to sport their ribbons and be a part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” says Alicia Soret (Director, Dali Wall Decals).

Although October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the NBCAM operates all year to combat the disease. For the past 25 years, the NBCAM has been at the forefront of breast cancer awareness, and they have maintained progress with the aid of other organizations and companies. The NBCAM strives to empower everyone to take charge of their breast health. Here are some helpful tips.

• Stay active: physical activity reduces the risk of cancer by up to 30%
• Avoid use of alcohol and tobacco: studies show that such use is associated with increased risk of cancer
• Check yourself often: the earlier it is detected, the easier it can be treated
• Participate in research studies: they are a good way to stay educated and tested
